Career Seminars
Our Career Seminars provide meaningful opportunities for our alumni and students to connect and for students to tap into our alumni's vast professional experiences to better prepare them for future careers.
These sessions provide students with an education that is separate and distinct from traditional career counseling (resume and interviewing) by focusing on training in leadership, corporate structure, personal communication, professionalism, management, and ethics. With your help, students can learn the bare necessities of being a successful Berkeley Engineer.
Students tell us they would like to see Career Seminars on the following:
- An overview of venture capital projects.
- Dining Etiquette: How to survive the business lunch or dinner.
- How to transition from school into that first job.
- What is graduate school and should I go?
- What is good communication all about?
- How do I choose beteen a job in industry or academia?
- Getting the job: How to do the behavioral interview.
- How to successfully network.
- How to find the right mentor.
If you are interested in presenting on any of these topics, or have a suggestion for a topic, please contact us at bears@berkeley.edu or (510) 643-7828.
