The Cal VIEW program has closed its doors as of Friday, June 27, 2008.

There will no longer be any staff person available to answer inquiries about courses offered to industry for sale or lease, or courses offered for NTU credit towards a Master of Science degree through the National Technological University of Engineering and Science at Walden University.

Program Director Pam Atkinson and Program Manager Isabel Blanco wish to thank all those who have helped make the Cal VIEW program such a resounding success during its 25 years of operation.

We remind all working professional engineers that it is important to stay continuously up to date in your chosen profession, and suggest that you browse through the attached list of engineering schools offering web-based degree programs, to see what might be currently available to you as you seek to maintain your professional competence in the future.

The Cal VIEW Philosophy of Distance Education

A message from the Director:

The Cal VIEW program in the College of Engineering has 15 years of experience providing IC design courses in a distance-education mode to industry professionals
working in the high-tech industries.

The teaching model the program follows is to
hire a talented, articulate Ph.D. student of the
professor, whose course is being taught, to
serve as a mentor-facilitator for those enrolled
in the course.
