230 Bechtel Engineering Center, (510) 642-7983 The Engineering Science Program is multidepartmental and interdisciplinary. This undergraduate program encompasses a variety of closely related areas of the physical and biological sciences, mathematics, and engineering. It is intended to provide a means whereby students, while acquiring knowledge of engineering methods, can pursue their interests in areas of natural science. The options offered within the curriculum prepare students for advanced study in engineering, science, bioengineering, or medicine. There are three fully structured majors in the curriculum: Engineering Science Chair of the Engineering Science Committee: Professor Tarek Zohdi, ME Faculty advisers for the Engineering Science majors: COMPUTATIONAL ENGINEERING SCIENCE FACULTY ADVISOR ENGINEERING MATHEMATICS AND STATISTICS FACULTY ADVISOR ENGINEERING PHYSICS FACULTY ADVISORS Professor Jonathan Wurtele, PHYSICS ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING SCIENCE FACULTY ADVISOR Professor David Sedlak, CEE For more information about the Engineering Science interdisciplinary majors, please see the College of Engineering Announcement.
