Genius Corner: Gain fame with our brain gameThis brainteaser puts your mind on your money and your money on your mind. The first person to e-mail the right answer will have his or her name printed in the next issue of Engineering News along with the answer. Twice a semester, one of the biweekly winners will be picked at random to win two movie tickets, courtesy of Engineering Alumni Relations. You land a job and the boss offers you a choice between A) $40,000 for your first year of work, and a raise of $800 for each year thereafter, or B) $2,000 for your first six months of work, and a raise of $200 every six months thereafter. If you plan to stay there for six years, which offer would you take and why? Send your answer to editnews@coe.berkeley.edu, and include your name, major, and class year.
