Faculty Honors

In late April, ME assistant professor Sara McMains was selected as the winner of the 2005 Prytanean Faculty Award. The award recognizes a Cal female assistant professor for outstanding scholarly contributions as well as teaching and mentorship. In addition to the formal presentation of the award in April, McMains will be honored at the Prytanean Faculty Award Reception this fall. Her research focuses on geometric and solid modeling, CAD/CAM/CAPP, layered manufacturing, computer graphics and visualization, virtual prototyping, and virtual reality.
