Genius Corner: Gain fame with our brain game

Here fishy, fishy fishy . . . Send your answer to editnews@coe.berkeley.edu, and include your name, major, and class year. The first person to e-mail the right answer will have his or her name printed in the next issue of Engineering News along with the answer. Twice a semester, one of the biweekly winners will be picked at random to win two movie tickets, courtesy of Engineering Alumni Relations. Plus, more chances to win! At the end of the semester, everyone who sent in an answer, minus the winners, will be picked at random to win a Berkeley Engineering mug and T-shirt.


A sushi restaurant buys twenty fish for $10 each. The owner knows that fifty percent of the fish will go bad before being served. Each fish creates ten servings. What price must the owner charge per serving in order to make a 100 percent profit on that initial investment?
