Faculty Honors

In May, EECS assistant professor Dan Klein was one of five people to receive a Microsoft Research New Faculty Fellowship Award.The awards honor early-career university professors who demonstrate exceptional talent for novel research and thought leadership in their discipline. The award comes with a $200,000 cash grant. Klein’s research focuses on natural language processing, which involves getting computers to analyze and understand human language.
