Student HonorsIn May, a Berkeley team, which included CEE students Rachel Peletz and Sarah Brownell, received top honors at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s first annual P3 (People, Prosperity, Planet) Awards recognizing the most innovative designs for a sustainable tomorrow. The team presented a design for an inexpensive water purification system that uses ultraviolet light to inactivate pathogens. The team received the award during a ceremony at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, D.C. (Photo provided by CEE) |
