Student HonorsThe Berkeley chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) has been voted the 2005 best student chapter west of the Rockies, retaining the title it held in 2004. Cal’s chapter placed first over 55 other chapters in the west and was given the ASCE Zone IV Vice President’s Award. It was also one of the finalists for the Robert Ridgway Award for best student chapter nationwide. The winners were rated on their participation in a variety of activities, from community service projects to professional meetings to social activities. |
