Faculty Honors

In June, CS professor Scott Shenker received the 2006 IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) Internet Award for contributions toward an understanding of resource-sharing on the Internet. The award is presented annually to those who make exceptional contributions to the advancement of Internet technology in the fields of network architecture, mobility and/or end-use applications. Shenker is also head of the Networking Group at ICSI (International Computer Science Institute) and a vice president of its board of trustees. (Peg Skorpinski Photo)
