Faculty Honors

In September, Newsweek magazine wrote about women in academic science and interviewed several Berkeley faculty, including NE professor Jasmina Vujic (top), chair of the department, and ME professor Alice Agogino. Around the same time, Agogino wrote a National Academy of Sciences report entitled “Beyond Bias and Barriers: Fulfilling the Potential of Women in Academic Science and Engineering,” with coauthor Berkeley Chancellor Robert Birgeneau.
