GIVING BACK: Last year’s Senior Gift Campaign Committee poses with the winner of an iPod nano. The committee hosted a party and raffle to encourage seniors to make a gift. Join this year’s committee and make your own contribution! RACHEL SHAFER PHOTO

Calling all seniors: Join the 2007 Senior Gift Campaign Committee

If this is your last year at Berkeley Engineering, join a group of seniors who will be leaving a legacy behind through the Senior Gift Campaign!

Q: What is the Senior Gift Campaign?

A: The Senior Gift Campaign is your first opportunity to begin a lifelong partnership with your soon-to-be alma mater by saying “thank you” to Berkeley Engineering. The goal of the campaign is not as much about money as it is about participation. With a little help from everyone, we can make this one of the best senior gift campaigns ever!

Q: What is the goal of the campaign?

A: The goal of the 2007 campaign is to raise at least $10,000 from 50 percent of the senior class, an increase of $1,200 in revenue and seven percent in participation from last year. (You’re way better than last year’s class, right?)

Q: What does being on the Senior Gift Campaign Committee involve?

A: The main goal as a member of the committee is to encourage your classmates to participate by making gifts. As a committee member, you’ll be asked to attend committee meetings, be involved in solicitations, attend events and contribute to advertising efforts. This is a great way to build your resume, gain networking opportunities, get involved and have a lot of fun. The more effort you put into it, the more successful this year’s class will be at achieving a great senior gift.

Q: Where do I sign up?

A: Contact Jennifer Roseman in 201 McLaughlin, by e-mail at jenniferr@berkeley.edu or phone 643-8564. Let’s work together to beat the Class of 2006’s record of 43 percent participation!
