In August, EECS professor Michael Jordan was awarded the 2007 Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Computational Intelligence Society Neural Networks Pioneer Award for significant contributions to algorithms, architectures and theory for learning in neural networks. Jordan ’s research interests include artificial intelligence, machine learning, probabilistic inference control, robotics and biosystems signal processing .
