and Announcements E 190 placement test
If you plan to take E 190, you must take the Engineering 190 Placement
Test before enrolling. The next test will be Tuesday, October 10,
from 5 to 7 p.m. in Sibley Auditor-ium, Bechtel Engineering Center.
If you want to enroll in E 190 in spring 2007, you must take the
test on October 10; there are no other test dates this semester.
You do not need to sign up; just arrive promptly with a pencil
or pen and your student ID. More information about E 190 and the

Kresge Library is encouraging engineering students to take the online

Technology Breakthrough Competition
Are you working on technology or scientific research that aims to
make the world a substantially better place? Is it something that

Mayfield Fellows info meeting
The UC Berkeley Mayfield Fellows Program offers graduate students
paid summer internships at venture capital-funded high-tech startups
in Silicon Valley. To learn more, attend an informational meeting
at 6 p.m. on Monday, October 9, in Wozniak Lounge, or at 6 p.m
on Tuesday, October 10, in the Wells Fargo Room, C420 Cheit, Haas
School of Business.
