Student HonorsIn July, CEE Ph.D. student Roger Sauer won the Student Presentation Competition in the area of nanotechnology at the Seventh World Congress on Compu-tation Mechanics (WCCM7) held in Los Angeles. The title of Sauer’s paper was, “A Quasi-Continuum Model for Nanoscale Contact Mechanics.” Sauer works under CEE associate professor Shaofan Li and focuses on computational mechanics.
