At the end of the semester, entrants who didn’t win will be automatically entered into a drawing to win a Berkeley Engineering mug and T-shirt. Twelve thieves stole a diamond from the Queen of England. During the getaway, they dropped it, and it broke into seven equal pieces. They took the seven pieces to a jeweler and asked him to divide them evenly, so each of the 12 thieves gets an equal amount. How did the jeweler divide the pieces? |
