IEOR professor Shmuel S. Oren was appointed the first holder of the Earl J. Isaac Chair in the Science and Analysis of Decision Making. The Chair was endowed by Mrs. Isaac in memory of her late husband, who was a co-founder of the Fair Isaac Corporation. Oren is also the Berkeley site director of PSERC, Power Systems Research Center, a multi-university center sponsored by the National Science Foundation and industry members.
