Do engineers have a fashion sense?

Farzin Shadpour,
IEOR senior

No, because most of the time fashion trends don’t follow functionality and are overpriced. Often engineers want to wear something that is convenient and reliable.

Khushboo Jaiswal,
Eng. Science sophomore

Some engineers do. Guys usually don’t but some girls do care about how they look.

Ehsan Saadat,
BioE sophomore

It depends on how you define fashion. Engineers are fashionable in their own way. They like fashion that is comfortable and practical.

Liu Cheng,
ME sophomore

As a whole engineers don’t have much fashion sense, but I try to be fashionable to make up for those engineers that aren’t. (Check out Cheng’s fashion statement in photo on the index page)
