Student Honors

California Alpha, the UC Berkeley chapter of Tau Beta Pi, was one of three chapters of the national engineering honor society to win honorable mention for the 2004 R.C. Matthews Outstanding Chapter Award. The award recognizes excellent work by the chapter in routine and special affairs. This is the fourth time that California Alpha has received honorable mention and the first time since 1981. In addition, the chapter also received the Secretary’s Commendation Award for its seventh consecutive year.
