Engineering in Europe
The Northern Institute of Technology in Hamburg, Germany, is seeking applicants to its Global Engineering Program. The two-year program is taught in English for students who wish to go beyond their education to develop management and leadership skills. It leads to two degrees, a master of science and a master in global technology management. Deadline to apply is Feb. 28. Black History Month speaker
In honor of Black History Month, Mark Dean will give a talk entitled, "Opportunities for minorities in information technology: a personal perspective." Dean is the director of IBM's Almaden Research Center in San Jose. He will speak on Friday, Feb. 11, noon to 1 p.m., in Bechtel 240. For more information, email humphrys@eecs.berkeley.edu.

Research clinics @ the library
Kresge Engineering Library will be offering research clinics to help students improve their online library research skills and learn new resources. Clinics run 2 to 3 p.m. in Bechtel 120A.
