Senior Gift Campaign is off and running! Have you
donated, yet?
Seniors: Graduation is just 15 weeks away, and it's time to get nostalgic. Think of the friends you've made, the experiences you've had, the classes and professors you've loved. Honor that nostalgia by saying "thanks" to Berkeley Engineering. The perfect way is by donating to the Senior Class Gift Campaign. Throughout Berkeley Engineering's history, seniors have made donations to the College in order to give engineers who follow in their footsteps the same quality experience. Seniors who are long gone once donated their hard-earned money so your student clubs, your professors, your research opportunities, even Kresge Library, remained top-notch. Now, it's your turn to give back and leave a little bit of yourself behind. "I've had so many memorable experiences with the College of Engineering," says BioE senior Kimberly Nguyen, a Senior Gift Committee member. "I want to help ensure that other students will be able to enjoy their years here, too." On Thursday, January 26, the campaign kicks off in style from 4 to 6:30 p.m. in Wozniak Lounge. There will be free food, music, and an iPod raffle for anyone who makes a gift at the party. Come and bring your friends! With a $25 gift or more, students receive a Berkeley Engineering license plate frame. (You can't buy it anywhere else!) With any donation, seniors receive a keychain and decal. Donor names will be published on the College website's donor honor roll, and in the College's Commencement program and Annual Report, and donors will receive an invitation to hobnob with Chancellor Birgeneau at his home in May. The goals for the 2006 campaign are to raise at least $10,000 from 50 percent of your class, an increase in $1,000 in revenue and five percent in participation from last year. (You're way better than last year's class, right?) If that goal is met, Bob Sanderson ('66 '70 IEOR) will double it and contribute $20,000 of his own money to the campaign.
