Staff Honors

In November, Joan Chamberlain, CEE undergraduate adviser, received a “Berkeley Hero” award. She was one of 67 staff personnel whom students singled out as “going beyond the call of duty” in the University’s annual undergraduate experience survey. Chamberlain has been at her CEE position since 2004, but at the University since 1984. “The students are the best part of my job,” she says, “because they have such great energy and enthusiasm! It’s really satisfying to work with them, watch them mature and grow, and take on new challenges and responsibilities.” (Photo privided by Joan Chamberlain)
