Faculty HonorsIn January, IEOR professor Rhonda Righter was awarded a 2005 IBM Faculty Award of $25,000 in recognition of her achievements in research and curriculum development. Righter’s primary research interests are in the general area of stochastic modeling and optimization, especially as applied to manufacturing and telecommunication systems. It’s the second IBM award she has received. The IBM Faculty Award recognizes research in areas essential to fueling innovation and bolstering America’s role as the world’s economic engine.
