Seniors:
Leave a little of yourself behind on northside
Donate now to the Senior Gift Campaign!
Seniors, we know you’re on tight budgets, but your extra change
will give students who follow in your footsteps the same quality experience
you’ve had. Now’s the time to donate to the Senior Class
Gift Campaign.
A gift of any size will help. But get this: If you give $25, you will
receive a free Berkeley Engineering license plate frame. You can donate
online at http://www.coe.berkeley.edu/giving/seniorgift/ or mail your check to: Nicole
Rinetti, College Relations, 201 McLaughlin Hall #1722, Berkeley, CA
94720-1722. Senior Class Gift Committee members will also be tabling
in various northside spots in the next few weeks to collect donations.
Besides receiving cool gifts, donors will have their names published
on the College website’s honor roll of senior donors and in the
Commencement program. They’ll also receive an invitation to a
strawberry and champagne reception with University Chancellor Robert
J. Birgeneau. Throughout the College’s history, seniors have made donations
in order to help engineers who follow in their footsteps. Seniors who
graduated a long time ago once donated their hard-earned money so your
student clubs, professors and research opportunities, even Kresge Library,
remained top-notch. Now it’s your turn to give back and leave
a little bit of yourself behind.
This year’s campaign has already raised more than $3,000 from
115 seniors, but to beat the Class of 2005’s record of 45 percent
participation and $9,166 raised, more than 200 of you need to donate.
If 50 percent of the class donates a total of $7,500, Berkeley Engineering
alum Bob Sanderson (’66 ’70 IEOR) will contribute $20,000
of his own money to the campaign. Commencement is fast approaching,
so make your donation now! For more information, e-mail Nicole Rinetti at nrinetti@berkeley.edu or
call her at 643-6291.
