and Announcements Save the date: Real World Engineering
Join Berkeley Engineering alums for a glimpse into the practice of
engineering beyond the walls of the classroom on Thursday, February
22, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bechtel Engineering Center. Eight of the
11 panels will focus on careers in engineering and how a specific
major might translate to a real-world work environment. Other panels
will focus on professional development topics like transitioning
from college into the workplace. After the panel sessions, enjoy
food, drink and one-on-one networking with panel participants at
the wrap-up reception in Garbarini Lounge from 8 to 8:30 p.m. For

The Berkeley Science Review is looking for editors for its Spring 2007
issue. The Review, a biannual publication highlighting science at Cal,
is written, edited and designed by Berkeley graduate students. Applicants
