Save the date: Real World Engineering

Join Berkeley Engineering alums for a glimpse into the practice of engineering beyond the walls of the classroom on Thursday, February 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bechtel Engineering Center. Eight of the 11 panels will focus on careers in engineering and how a specific major might translate to a real-world work environment. Other panels will focus on professional development topics like transitioning from college into the workplace. After the panel sessions, enjoy food, drink and one-on-one networking with panel participants at the wrap-up reception in Garbarini Lounge from 8 to 8:30 p.m. For more information, go to www.coe.berkeley.edu/alumni_friends/realworld.

The answer to last week’s brainteaser is: a little more than 3.46 loads, and the truck can cross a desert of any width. No one sent in the correct answer. Stay tuned for next week’s brainteaser.
