What’s your reaction to graduating? What will you remember most about Berkeley?

Michelle Lam, CEE
Hometown: Los Angeles
Plans: Graduate studies at Cal’s CEE department
I’m excited! I’m going to miss being with friends, but actually most of my friends are coming back to Cal for grad school.

Reza Kamrava, EECS
Hometown: Los Angeles
Plans: Graduate studies at USC
I have no reaction at all. I still have more school! Memories? Every-thing is memories.

John Dao, ME/MSE
Hometown: Milpitas
Plans: Summer internship, then grad school or work
After May 19, I’ll feel liberated. I’ll miss working with my ME 107b team members.

Shilpi Verma, IEOR/Business
Hometown: Fremont
Plans: Work in consulting
I’m so sad! I can’t believe it’s almost over. I want to redo Cal. I’ll miss hanging out on Sproul Plaza and going to all the football games.

Alex Yasutake, ME
Hometown: Sacramento
Plans: Work, hopefully in the automotive industry
I’m going to miss the school idea and seeing everyone. I want to extend my time here as long as possible.

Hoi Wong, CEE
Hometown: Sacramento
Plans: Graduate studies at Cal
I have no regrets about coming to Berkeley. I’ll miss my Steel Bridge teammates. They’re like family.

Jenny Crow, CEE
Hometown: San Diego
Plans: Working at a consulting firm
I’m stoked! I’m ready to go out and earn some money. I’ll remember the great professors I’ve had, particularly CEE associate professor Juan Pestana.

Kyle Yeates, ME
Hometown: Palo Alto
Plans: Graduate studies at Cal
I’m not sure yet. It’s anti-climatic because I’m coming back here for the ME professional master’s program.

Michelle Yong, Eng. Physics
Hometown: Del Mar
Plans: Ph.D. in Cal’s Physics program
I’m feeling a mixture of relief, shock, uneasiness and excitement about the unknown future, sadness to be seeing friends leave and nostalgia when I think of how much I’ve learned and grown.
