Experts in health care and technology discuss the best ways to move care away from the hospital and into the home.

Health@Home panel discussion

Health care experts tell us the best way to keep people healthier and costs down is to move care away from the hospital and into the home. Emerging technologies are now enabling the kind of remote monitoring and sensing that would permit high quality care at home. As part of Berkeley's Engineering Better Health initiative, we are working with colleagues at UCSF and Children's Hospital Oakland to develop an integrated approach for advancing this new health care model.

This panel discussion took place at the Nov. 13, 2013, Dean's Society event at the Menlo Circus Club,
