Synthetic Biology: Engineering Biological Solutions
This forum celebrated an exciting new research initiative: the UC
Berkeley Synthetic Biology Institute (SBI).
The institute will address the science, technology, and big-picture
challenges of engineering biological solutions, drawing on
collaborations among faculty, students, and active industry partners. We
believe this work will enable substantial advances in medicine,
materials, energy, food production, and a host of other arenas.
