Nikolas “Nik” Geroliminis of the Transportation Engineering program is the UC Transportation Center student of the year. An expert in transportation science, traffic theory and traffic control, Geroliminis has already published several journal articles and working papers. He completed his dissertation, on the management of traffic in urban centers, under the guidance of EECS Prof. Carlos Daganzo. An enthusiastic teacher, Geroliminis has accepted an assistant professorship at the University of Minnesota beginning this month.
