First some news,
To our dismay, we have found out that the Computational Engineering Science major has been discontinued. But, some good news is that we have a new member to the SES Officers: Trong Nguyen, a sophomore in Engineering
Physics.
Pizza with the Profs:
Checking the last week's notes, Pizza with the Profs is:
WED APRIL 16TH, 2011 5:30 TO 7 PM.
REMINDER: Elio, reserve the room, 375 LeConte
Cal Day - April 16th:
Freddy: harrass David to be a speaker on behalf of his major
Kevin: You are in charge of Cal Day in Freddy's absence
We begin tabling at 8 AM and there is a talk from 10 to 11 AM.
Resume Book: Freddy sent out another e-mail today.

Resume Book - Freddy will sent out another e-mail to the listserve for the resume book.
Elio needs to send Freddy the account information
Dinner with the Profs - Mixer
-Attwood can only put down a certain amount of money ~$300
-I have written down earlier that we only want to keep it in the major EP, but later I think we decided we want to open it up to all ES
-If so, we need to contact faculty from all the majors, and for that we need to contact Attwood as he has the newly updated list.
-Funding wise, Kevin and Newton need to pass the bank acct information to Aaron
-DATE: Wed March 9, 6:30 - 7:30 Tentatively at La Val's
-New name?
Pizza with the Profs - TeleBears April 11th (according to information online)
-Keep it at 375 LeConte as last semester
-We need to figure out the food arrangements as we ran out of pizza but we are also still on a budget
-If we run over $300, we can get ESC to help with funding *We want everybody to come, especially seniors and upperclassmen
Vatsal - ask LaVal's if they can make us any offers for Dinner with the Profs
Freddy - Check how much food we have ordered in the past
Lastly: we will keep the meeting time as it is as most of us can make it.

-Bridges is not yet completed, it is done renovating, but we are waiting on brand new FURNITURE AND DESKS! WHOO!
-Our storage is now in 120A Bechtel and will stay there
-ESC president says we can't use Bridges until Spring
-Considering our other options, meetings will continue to be in the stacks until Bridges is ready.
Alvin - Officer's Retreat, this Sunday the 17th -Since all of our considered options have been too expensive, we have decided on going to Pier 39 and Fenton's. Awesome.
Resume Workshop - Monday Oct 25th
-Room reserved from 5-730, but the actual event will probably begin at 6.
-Bringing the leftover 2 L soda bottles we have had for the event.
-Elio will be picking up the career guides tomorrow from the career center
Poker Night - pushing until next semester when we can use Bridges as a room to hold the event in.

- The Society of Physics Students wants to do a BBQ with us! April 8th
- Kevin will fill out the forms, talk to Freddy regarding it.
- E-Week is next week Kevin e-mail Clarissa regarding if they need to or we need to take care of the permits for doing the BBQ
- Cal Day April 17th - We need to find someone(s) to help organize the catapult competition
- Ask Michelle if she knows anybody who would be willing to help organize.
- Someone needs to go to EJC or e-mail them regarding doing it as an engineering event and getting funding (200$ per team)

- Meeting Headliner: Starcraft 2 Beta is out!

Resume Book: Were at about 10 people who have submitted their resumes.
More should be coming, many officers havent submitted yet.
- Prospected companies: Defense contractors, all NASA, National Labs, Tesla Motors, advisors,
Engineering consulting firms, NSA/other government agencies, DOE, DOD
- Pizza w/ Profs current data April 8th, Pat concerned its cutting really close to Phase 1 ad suggests doing it April 1st.
- We need to e-mail all the profs WITHIN DAYS!
Find which days work the best for them, who can come, etc.
First back up plan is Wozniak Lounge, next is Hogan Room, both can be reserved via Atwood.
120AB Bechtel is still the primary option
- Graduate Student, John Gerling, in AS&T who is interested in tutoring ES undergrads in physics, math, EECS stuff for free!
- Panel for Cal Day need a few to talk about ES. Still nee CES and EMS reps
- Officer Retreat SF, depending on mood we can do different things there (Exploratorium, bike across the bridge, etc.) April 3rd
- Still no word on companies for info sessions
- Begin work on the catapult! Begin design component the week before Spring Break
- This and the Poker Night (March 10) needs to be on the calendar!!

- BIG NEWS:
--On Thursday, Feb 5th, @~6:30, we have a BIG even planned. All
Engineering Science students will be invited, and we'll be finalizing
official officer roles for this year.
Food will be provided. (Ahmad is working on reserving the room--hopefully 120ABC... stay tuned.)
We will also vote on and preorder shirts. Tom is working on a powerpoint presentation.

- 15 pizzas were just enough. (5 cheese, 5 Mushroom + Olives, 5 Beef + Onions), 5 sodas were not enough.
- West Coast brought plates & cups, but not enough. (Used SES's)
