Broadening Participation to Leadership and Academic Excellence
Engineering Student Services (ESS) is the umbrella organization created to provide a welcoming and supportive environment for all undergraduate students. Broadening Participation to Leadership and Academic Excellence strives to help students from underrepresented backgrounds achieve their full potential in careers in engineering and leadership. It offers a rich and multicultural environment for learning and leadership that reflects our global economy. Broadening Participation provides professional and peer advising, career services, leadership and professional development, experiential learning and undergraduate research opportunities, but more importantly community building for students once they arrive on campus. It provides an extensive network of graduate students, staff and faculty that provide mentoring and academic support in challenging math, science and engineering courses.
