Julia Morgan Engineering Program
Mission
Resources        Milestones        Women at Berkeley       In the News

The mission of the Julia Morgan Engineering Program (JMEP) is to motivate all students to achieve their full potential in careers as engineers and leaders and to provide educational materials about the contributions of women in engineering. JMEP also provides academic support such as pre-admissions advising, tutoring, pre-graduate school advising, and financial aid resources. The program also provides seminars on reducing test anxiety, applying to graduate school, and enhancing communication.

JMEP is named after UC Berkeley's famous graduate, Julia Morgan, (Civil Engineering, Class of 1894), who became one of the West's finest and most prolific architects. JMEP is open to all students, and is the college-wide liaison with the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), the Women in Computer Science & Electrical Engineering (WICSE), and the Graduate Women in Etcheverry Hall (GWE).
