Dropping Courses

Deadlines:

• Early Drop Deadline (EDD) Courses:
  Final Deadline: September 4 at 11:59pm
  
  
• Non-Early Drop Deadline Courses:
  Final Deadline: September 25 at 3:45pm
  Last day to drop without a fee of $10: September 4 at 11:59pm
  Last day to drop online: September 11 at 11:59pm
  

How to drop a course:

• From Phase I-September 22: drop courses online via Tele-BEARS during Adjustment Period hours.
• From September 14-25: drop courses by filling out the Petition to Change Class Schedule and meeting with your student affairs adviser.  
• The last day to drop courses without a fee is September 4.  A fee of $10 per dropped course will be assessed on your CARS bill after this date.

Adding Courses

Deadlines:

• Final Deadline: September 25 at 11:59pm 
  Last day to add without a fee of $5: September 11  at 11:59pm

How to add a course:

• Add courses online via Tele-BEARS during Adjustment Perioud hours.
• The last day to add courses without a fee is September 11. A fee of $5 per added course will be assessed on your CARS bill after this date.

Changing Grading Options

• P/NP to Letter Grade:
  Final Deadline: September 25 at 3:45pm 
  Last day to change grading option online: September 11 at 11:59pm
  
  
• Letter Grade to P/NP:
  Final Deadline: October 30 at 3:45pm
  Last day to change grading option online:September 11 at 11:59pm

How to change a grading option:

• From Phase I-September 11: change grading options online via Tele-BEARS during Adjustment Period hours.
• From September 12-25: change from P/NP to Letter Grade by filling out the Petition to Change Class Schedule and meeting with your student affairs adviser.
• From September 25-October 30: change from Letter Grade to P/NP by filling out the Petition to Change Class Schedule and meeting with your student affairs adviser. 

• All technical courses (courses in engineering, mathematics, chemistry, physics, statistics, biological sciences and computer science) may not be taken pass/not pass .
