Self Evaluation Test for E 7

New freshman. Are you considering taking E 7 your first semester at Cal? Before enrolling, take the E 7 readiness test.   This exam provides a way to evaluate your preparation for E 7.  It is not graded or recorded.

If you have completed the equivalent of Math 1A (through AP or transfer work), start by answering the questions in the first section titled, "If you've taken Math 1A you should know..."

• If you have no problems answering these questions correctly, you could enroll in E 7 and Math 1B concurrently your first semester at Cal. 
• If you have trouble answering these questions you should wait to take E 7 until you have completed Math 1B at Cal. 

If you have completed the equivalent of Math 1B (through AP or transfer work), start by answering the questions in the second section titled, "If you've taken Math 1B you should know..."

• If you have no problems answering these questions correctly, you could enroll in E 7 your first semester at Cal.  
  
• If you have trouble answering these questions you should seriously consider taking Math 1B before (or concurrently with) E 7.
