Tele-BEARS Advising & Enrollment

Tele-BEARS Enrollment IconIn order to enroll in classes for next semester, you must meet with your faculty adviser to review your intended schedule and academic plan.  Your faculty adviser will give you an "adviser code."  This code allows you to enroll in classes via Tele-BEARS.

Follow the steps below to meet with your faculty adviser and obtain your code:

1. Check your email for faculty advising information. Your department adviser (the adviser from your specific major who sends you updates on research, department activities, etc.) will send you information via email regarding Tele-BEARS enrollment and how to meet with your faculty adviser.  Be looking for that email in late September or early October in the email address you have on file in Bear Facts.  If you did not receive an email or are unsure of the process for meeting with your faculty adviser, check your department’s faculty advising website on the right sidebar (if available) or contact your department adviser. Please check the websites to see if your advising questions are answered before contacting your department adviser.

2. Bring the following documents to your faculty advising appointment:

After you receive your adviser code from your faculty adviser, you are ready to log in to Tele-BEARS!  Before you enroll, be sure to review some important reminders and next steps:

  • Check Bear Facts for your Tele-BEARS Phase I and Phase II appointment times.  Click "Registration" and "Telebears Appointment."
  • Understand Tele-BEARS access hours, rules and enrollment limits.  Did you know that if you miss your appointment time or want to adjust your schedule after your appointment, you may do so during Tele-BEARS open hours?  Did you know that there is a specific number of units for which you can enroll during each phase?  Information regarding Tele-BEARS open hours, enrollment limits and other important details is available on the Office of the Registrar's Tele-BEARS website.  Read through the information carefully.
