Visit Us in April

Cal Day 2Join us for Cal Day on April 18

Cal Day is truly the best time to visit Berkeley Engineering!  The College will be hosting more than 60 events, demonstrations, tours, exhibits and lectures throughout the day to help you learn more about the fantastic breadth of opportunities that await at Berkeley.  There will also be many occasions to meet with students, faculty, advisers and deans one-on-one.

April Visit LogoUndergraduate Information Sessions & Department Representative Meetings

If you are unable to visit on Cal Day, we invite you to attend one of our twice-weekly information sessions or meet with a department representative, in addition to the UC Berkeley Guided Campus Tour.

    Undergraduate Information Session Schedule

College of Engineering undergraduate information sessions are held on Fridays at 1:00pm and Saturdays at Noon during the month of April. Sessions are hosted by Executive Associate Dean Fiona Doyle, Associate Dean Dennis Lieu or Assistant Dean Robert Giomi, who are responsible for the education and welfare of the College's undergraduate students — including oversight of admissions, advising, coordination of curricular development, and student leadership.

These sessions are intended to give prospective fall 2009 undergraduates the opportunity to ask questions about Berkeley Engineering's curricula and student life.  They will not cover undergraduate admissions, though prospective applicants are welcome to attend.

It is highly recommended that you visit on Fridays: department representatives will be available and the environment will be more representative of daily life at Cal.

In order to provide the best experience possible and ensure that we have adequate space, we ask that you RSVP. Only one RSVP is needed if you plan on attending both an information session and department office hour.

    • Friday, April 3, 1:00-1:45pm - 120C Bechtel Engineering Center [rsvp]
    • Saturday, April 4, Noon-12:45pm - Hearst Memorial Mining Building Entrance [rsvp]
    • Friday, April 10, 1:00-1:30pm - 120C Bechtel Engineering Center [rsvp]
    • Saturday, April 11, Noon-12:45pm - Hearst Memorial Mining Building Entrance [rsvp]
    • Cal Day, April 18!
    • Friday, April 24, 1:00-1:30pm - 120C Bechtel Engineering Center [rsvp]
    • Saturday, April 25, Noon-12:45pm - Hearst Memorial Mining Building Entrance [rsvp]

Department Representative Meetings - April 1 through 30

Department representatives will be available during the following hours to answer questions in further detail regarding department resources, curriculum and facilities.

Because this is a very busy time with enrollment and admissions, we ask that you reserve a space during one of the posted office hours.  If have already planned a trip at another time, follow the instructions under "RSVP" on how to set up an alternate time.  Please note that departments may not be able to accomodate students at times other than those listed below.

If you are currently undeclared within the College of Engineering, we recommend you speak with one or two of the departments you may be interested in declaring.
