"Berkeley Engineering is a place where you can meet GREAT people, see CUTTING EDGE research and interact with PASSIONATE professors! I joined the GOLD Volunteer Committee because I'd love to see our college stay on top and to encourage more people to give back. If I can give back and set an example, I am sure the rest of GOLD will follow."

"While technologies, boom/bust cycles, and even entire industries may come and go the knowledge which comes with an engineering degree from Cal is timeless. At no other time in my life have I been as challenged as I was as an undergraduate; what I was able to learn (not only about engineering but also about myself) has served me well to this day. I'm happy to do whatever I can to help alumni create and sustain mutually beneficial relationships with the campus in the hope that all young alumni can realize the importance of their role in the campus community."

"I have experienced the College of Engineering both as an undergraduate and a graduate student and in both capacities I was amazed by the plethora of opportunities that were available to me. Great professors from top ranking departments, student organizations, lectures and seminars, innovative research and brilliant students from all over the world. I joined the GOLD Volunteer Committee because I believe it is important for the College to stay connected with its alumni, but mainly because it is our responsibility to help keep Berkeley’s College of Engineering as one of the best in the world."

"Berkeley has been a nourishing home for the last six years. When I look back at the person I was when I entered the college of engineering I am amazed at the positive changes imparted by my time here. Both technical expertise, as well as global-scale thinking. I am proud to be part of this institution that has such a positive global influence."

"Berkeley is at the forefront of so many innovative, unexplored frontiers. It is through the support and dedication of its current and future alumni, as well as its world-class faculty, that this fine institution can continue to offer exciting opportunities and to tackle compelling challenges that benefit society and push mankind toward ever-greater achievements. Joining the GOLD committee allows alumni to give back to their alma mater in a fun and social atmosphere."

"Engineers are rock stars. Berkeley COE gave to me the education I need to go out and make a difference. I'm giving back as part of GOLD because we need to be sure our school always has the resources it needs to keep 'em coming! We are young but it's never too early to help, and it's never too late to get involved!"

"Berkeley Engineering has been one of the biggest reasons for my success. It is important for me to give back to Cal to ensure that the university can continue to do the same for others. Go Bears!"
